Public Speaking
Public speaking is a very important skill to have. It is necessary for anyone from a preacher to a business owner to a salesperson to a coach. No matter what you do in life, there is a very good chance that at some point you will have to address a group of people. Knowing how to do that with confidence can be a huge relief or a huge advantage. Therefore, it's a skill we will address in this class. We'll start small and work our way up. If nothing else, you will have to do presentations during the rest of your academic career. Let's make them good ones!

Proper Letters & Envelope Format
In order to be able to represent yourself well, you will need to be able to write an effective letter. Of course, one aspect of a letter being effective is getting it to its destination, i.e. addressing the envelope properly. It is amazing how much more you can accomplish when you look professional or at least like you know what you're doing. Writing a good letter can help you to appear more capable and impressive.

Cooking & Recipes
Easy access and somewhat healthy snacks to grab on the go are the purpose of this portion of the class. Our goal it to make a few snacks that could easily be kept in a refrigerator to pull out when you need a snack without having to make all that mess again for a single snack. This is how a lot of busy families do entire meal plans. Some plan & prep for a week; others plan & prep for up to a month & use the freezer to be ready to go. We're going to do this on a smaller scale.
